It’s natural for fans to have a healthy curiosity about their favorite social influencer’s gear. Social media celebs like Tyler Steinkamp, better known as “loltyler1,” can produce a lot of quality content for thousands of followers with his set-up. His following count on Twitch surpasses the million mark and amounts to over 600k on Twitter. Steinkamp has been nicknamed “The Most Toxic Player in North America,” and cashes out from the infamous branding. The massive army of followers that he has gathered has been collected from his angry stunts. Tyler’s “Rage Roids” usually involve a tantrum or smashing up his keyboard. As humorous as it is, a Tyler1 keyboard is even more intriguing because of Steinkamp’s fuming Hulk behavior.
Tyler Steinkamp is known for his eccentricity during the gameplay of popular titles like MOBA and League of Legends. Since 2019, Tyler1 has refused all forms of sponsorship. He doesn’t advertise for any product during his live streams and he won’t allow brands to use him as a commercial for good reason. Steinkamp refuses to be censored and has mentioned that he is aware that a lot of the insults that he makes during gameplay are over-the-top. The refusal of sponsorship adds to Tyler’s authenticity since his viewers will never catch him selling specific gaming gear, such as PC monitors, PC accessories, or keyboards. The tyler1 keyboard is his personal preference and he has no obligations to use specific equipment. Tyler1 uses two keyboards which he alternatively switches between, the Logitech K120 and the Razer Black Widow Stealth keyboard.
The Logitech K120 wired keyboard
The Tyler1 keyboard, the Logitech K120 is a corded keyboard and plug-and-play USB keyboard. Logitech is globally the number one seller for mice and keyboards. It makes perfect sense that the Logitech K120 is very reliable, durable, and simplistic. It is a sleek and modern keyboard that only comes in the color black. This full-sized keyboard features a number pad and is an easy plug-in corded keyboard. Although Steinkamp is a very well-known streamer, this is a pretty common-looking keyboard. It’s comfortable for school and work, including data entry or calculations on the number pad. The space bar is unique because it’s curved to offer the fastest and most reliable typing experience.
Right out of the box, the Logitech K120 is one of the Tyler1 keyboard versions that can be used right out of the box. It is plugged in with a cord through a USB port, but it requires no downloads or set up. One of the most unique features that gamers will appreciate is that the Logitech K120 is spill-resistant. The keyboard is fairly customizable with a tilted leg stand and adjustable height to make sure typing is as enjoyable as possible. Logitech’s full model of keyboards is known to have springy keys that bounce back, making typing easy on the hands. For those who are concerned about environmental factors, the Logitech K120 is made with recycled plastic. The plastic parts are designed with 51% post-recycled plastic from older electronics.
The Razer Black Widow Stealth keyboard
The second Tyler1 keyboard is the Razer Black Widow Stealth. It’s specifically made for gaming and features a gorgeous illuminated keyboard light. The aesthetics feature neon green luminescence between the fully mechanical keys with 45g actuation force. The actuation distance is 2mm, allowing the gamer’s fingers to land on keys quicker than an average keyboard. The keys’ technology allows them to be silent while providing cushioned bounce. A main capability of the Razer Black Widow Stealth is its 10 key roll-over while gaming. During gameplay, gamers need to quickly go between multiple keys with milliseconds in between them. The average keyboard accepts one tap at a time, but the Razer actuates multiple keys at the same time. Through this feature, 10 keys could potentially all be held down at the same time with both hands, and still function. All the keys will register and the signals will all be picked up at the same time. Gamers have a major advantage when they can press 10 keys at the same time while their opponents cannot. Every single tap on the keyboard can be executed as fast as possible with lightning-fast speeds.
As a primary Tyler1 keyboard, the Razer Black Widow Stealth features a program called “Razer Synapse 2.0”. This is a dynamic and fairly new type of software that represents the brain of the keyboard. The technology connects the keyboard to a cloud server. The cloud allows the keyboard to automatically receive updates for the driver and firmware. It’s similar to a mobile device and its syncing to a cloud or larger network. The Razer Synapse 2.0 also saves gamer settings every time the user changes the keyboard. As gamers create individual customization of the keyboard, the Synapse saves all changes, such as keybinds and macros. The user does not have to enter the settings display to make this happen. As gamers play and experiment, they will all be saved in each occurring moment. The Razer Synapse 2.0 does require an internet connection at all times to access all features.
The Razer Black Widow Stealth has a few requirements to be used properly. Of course, the PC being used has to have a USB port. Windows 8, 7, and Mac 0S X are all supported, and at least 75 MB of hard disk space is a must.
In conclusion
Tyler Steinkamp has discussed in one of his live streams that selling products, such as gaming accessories, would require changing his personality to reflect a brand. Tyler1 keeps his integrity by sticking to what his fans were originally attracted to, his skills and energetic personality. Using a tyler1 keyboard is an awesome experience for any gaming fan and just may increase a user’s scores for the better. Whether Tyler gets ostracized by brands for his behavior or not, he will stick to his guns while maintaining the attention of all of his followers. Tyler1 can be supported through his live streams, social media travels, or by donating and subscribing to his channel.
