How does it work?
The cable box connects directly to any of your TVs and is connected to an outlet. In this article, we will focus on how you can bypass the Spectrum Cable Box to extra TVs around your home.
To bypass the Spectrum Cable Box, you need a supported Internet-enabled device that receives programming from Spectrum TV Stream. If you’re located in one of Spectrum TV Stream’s supported areas, just add the channel to your My Account or log in to your account and start watching live TV. Once logged in, you’ll be able to stream shows from anywhere on any Internet-connected device. If you’re a Spectrum cable subscriber and have a cable box, you’re eligible for the service.
As well as a Cable Box, Spectrum TV provides a free app available on the App Store and Google Play for those who are not current Spectrum subscribers. The app can be used on a wide variety of compatible devices such as smartphones and tablets, streaming players including Apple TV, Roku, smart TVs like Samsung Smart TV and LG Smart TV, desktop and laptop computers running on Windows or Mac OS.
To use the Spectrum TV App customers will need a computer or compatible mobile device along with an Internet connection and be in one of the supported areas.
If you are a customer, you only need one cable box and you do not need to have a cable box for every TV. If you have a Smart TV or own a streaming device such as a gaming console or streaming stick such as Apple TV, Amazon Fire and Roku player you are literally good to go. Long gone have the days you needed a cable box in every room. With one of the devices above, you simply need to connect the device to eth TV and have the Spectrum TV App installed.
The app offers more than 250 channels, including local networks and popular movie channels like AMC, Syfy and USA and can replicate the look and feel of the channel on nearly any screen. Once you’re logged in, you can start watching live TV without the Spectrum Cable Box attached.

I am trying to find out how I can get a PIP on my TV with my Spectrum cable box, in the older tv’s you could watch a picture in a picture, like 2 different tv show, how can I get this on my TV?
Hello Barbara and thank you for tuning in. In the remote of your Spectrum box you will get the Picture in Picture functionality. There is one key that says PIP on/off, which toggles this feature on or off. There will be also PIP Swap, to select which input signal you want in the smaller display, as well as PIP Move to move the little box around. Lastly there is a PIP CH +/- which lets you change the channel on the small display. I hope this information can solve your issue!
